Winter 2011 Update
Hello fellow MSET Members-
Now that the Holiday Season is complete, it’s time to get back to work.
I have been busy the past few months collecting new materials. Special thanks to Dr. Matthew Salon (Traverse City) and Karen Mason (Past Historical Chair) for donating new materials to MSET this past year.
As you recall, MSET came to be in 1973 and will be celebrating the 40th anniversary in 2013 with a large conference in Southeast Michigan. I would like to put together a “storybook” for the occasion. I have been asking new and past members and officers to write a short story for me in highlighting what MSET has meant to them and how MSET has helped them in their career pursuit. Please consider taking part in this project. The finished product will be presented to the Membership at the 2013 Conference and then will become a part of the Society’s Archives.
I am still looking for those of you with a Society and History interest who would be willing to assist the Historical Committee as we collect and compile artifacts for the Society. Please contact me either through any Board member or Officer or directly at:

Since our last board meeting in the Spring of 2010, I have been very busy making contacts and collecting information. Please know, I find history and all it entails to be extremely interesting and, at times, quite invigorating. In 2013, MSET will celebrate it’s 40th Anniversary as a State of Michigan chartered organization.
I am hoping to find other MSET Members who might share the same passion.
If you would like to help, please contact me directly. I am looking for committee members to assist with contacting current and past members, collecting and archiving info. Any help would be appreciated
I have sent out multiple emails, to past officers, for any items they might still have in their possessions. I have requested the following items:
- Meeting Minutes
- Constitution and ByLaws
- Seminar Mailers and Brochures
- Seminar Outlines
- Pictures of Officers and/or Members-both past and current
- Any items pertaining to Electroneurodiagnostics, which are relevant to the state of Michigan (i.e. Pictures, news articles, etc).
I have had several replies and have accumulated 4 binders of items so far. In the near future, I hope to have several of these items scanned and placed on the web site. The donors to date are Judy Ahn-Ewing, Martha Coyne, Connie Kubiak, Karen Mason and Donna Maul. Thanks to all of them for their willingness to hold on to and then share past info.
I still have several contacts who have assured me they will review their storage items and forward to me. Mrs. Verne Hulce is continuing to look for items which might be in her possession.
If you know of any contact info on all Past Officers, please pass on to them my contact info. I’m hoping they may have info to share and that MSET might of recognize them and their endeavors at the 40th Anniversary meeting in 2013.
